Giggle Gardens has been in operation for more than14 years providing early education and child care to families in the greater Springfield, MA area. All locations are licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care (DEEC). Our State Street center is accredited by NAEYC. We are proud to be a privately latino-owned and operated small business.
Roxanne Turowsky, owner and founder started Giggle Gardens as a family child care center in her home with half a dozen children and expanded to a group center location in 1999. Today, Giggle Gardens is proud to care for more than 300 children. Ms. Turowsky purchased the State Street building and leased the Suffolk Street building as the need for space grew with increasing enrollment. Ms. Turowsky has been working in the early childhood education field since 1995. Her parents, Luis and Louisiana Gaston came from Cuba in 1963 and settled in Springfield, MA where Ms. Turowsky was born. She has a degree from Springfield Technical Community College.
Saida David, director of the school age programs at Giggle Gardens has over 12 years experience working with children of all ages. Ms. David is responsible for developing the curriculum for the Before and After School and Summer Programs. Several of our group leaders and counselors are college students and many of them have been with Giggle Gardens for more than 3 years.
Giggle Gardens staff participate in a minimum of 20 hours of staff development training annually.
